Fall is here and we are embracing the season’s bountiful harvest! We came together with our community to celebrate the changing of the season on a crisp autumn day. Friends and families enjoyed family fun activities, including harvesting from the garden, arts and crafts projects, and making delicious treats with farm-fresh ingredients. A variety of seasonal toppings were available for hand-made pizza including beets, butternut squash, spinach, sweet potatoes, and turnips. Children loved painting pumpkins and making caramel apples coated with almonds, dried cranberries, shredded coconut, and crushed graham crackers.
Our Learning Garden will now be ‘put to bed’ for the winter months, while we all anticipate our seasonal farm-based programs restarting in early spring.
