Andrea Lubrano
Chef Educator
Raised between Venezuela and New York, my life's journey is driven by my deep respect for various cultures, majorly expressed through food. My work and travel experiences with a consulting firm ignited a pursuit for unique global flavors. This quest led me to markets in Cairo, Tokyo, and Torino, amongst others, where I discovered the profound connection between authentic food and cultural identity.
My passion for cooking, sharing meals, and upholding food traditions evolved into a love for healthy, culturally-sensitive eating. In 2014, I obtained a Master's degree in Gastronomy from Boston University and a chef's cap from the Natural Gourmet Institute for Health and Culinary Arts. By 2020, I became a certified Nutritional Therapist. My past roles involved developing recipes, delving into food photography, styling, and writing. Currently, I channel my energy into Nutritional counseling through Gut Feeling Consulting, managing the DJ Cookbook (a digital zine), and promoting food and nutrition education both in the classroom and at home with my two joyous children.
