You are invited to join The Sylvia Center and FOODMatch on Wednesday, March 22nd for a guided comparative tasting of some of the most delicious hand-crafted bread, cheese, wines and olives that you can find in New York City, led by the expert makers and purveyors themselves:
Max Bernstein of She Wolf Bakery, Brooklyn
Peter Henry of Consider Bardwell Cheese, Vermont
Christopher Nicolson of Red Hook Winery, Brooklyn
Brandon Gross of FOODMatch, NYC
We will taste a variety of breads, cheeses, wines, olives and antipasti; learn how they are made; and hear what it’s like to make and sell hand-crafted food and drink in NYC. Graduates of The Sylvia Center’s teen programs will also join us and share a few words about their experiences in our classes.
All ticket proceeds will benefit The Sylvia Center’s programs in New York City, which teach young people and their families how to cook and eat healthy food on a budget. This is the first in a series of events that The Sylvia Center is organizing in 2017 to mark our 10th anniversary year — so stay tuned for more events and happenings to be announced throughout the year.
Thank you to FOODMatch for graciously donating their private tasting space for our gathering, and to all our makers and purveyors for giving generously of their time and delicious foods.
Space is very limited so purchase your tickets today!
