Chocolate Fruit Tacos

Ideal for young individuals, this simple, nutritious snack involves addictive chocolate hummus that provides protein and enhances the fresh, tart fruit with its smooth texture. Swap the fruit for your favorite berries or any seasonal fruit.

Notes: dairy-free, no-bake

 

Ingredients

4 small wholewheat tortillas 

8  Tbsp chocolate hummus

16 fresh strawberries, medium dice

2 bananas, peeled and medium dice

2 kiwis, peeled and medium dice

 

Method

  1. Spread tortilla with the chocolate hummus or sunbutter.
  2. Arrange the fruits evenly across half the tortilla, making sure you get a piece of fruit in each bite. Fold the tortilla in half.
  3. Serve immediately.

 

Substitutions:

Ingredient Substitutions
Chocolate hummus Sunbutter w/ cocoa powder & maple syrup
Strawberries Raspberries/blueberries
Kiwis Peaches/nectarines

 

Recipe Notes
If you’re using sunbutter instead of chocolate hummus, mix 8 Tbsp sunbutter with 1 Tbsp cocoa powder and 1 Tbsp maple syrup.
