Chef T and Kaia will be showing us how to make strawberries & cream popsicles! This a great end of summer recipe because strawberries are still in season and are fresh and juicy. This recipe uses about 1/6th of a cup of sugar to the berries, just for the right amount of sweetness. Then to make the popsicles creamy, use yogurt for a healthier alternative. Blend everything together, let sit in the freezer for 2-2.5 hours, and enjoy!
Strawberry Popsicles
Ingredients:
1 cup of strawberries, fresh or frozen and thawed
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp- 3 Tbsp sugar, to taste
½ cup of yogurt
Preparation:
- Add the berries to a bowl and toss with the sugar and vanilla. Let sit out for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Using a blender, immersion blender or food processor, puree until smooth along with the yogurt. Divide the mixture into popsicles molds. Freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
