Beth Bainbridge
Education Programs Director
Beth is a passionate food educator whose mission is to bring farm-fresh produce into people’s hearts and homes. She is deeply rooted in the New York food system, having worked extensively alongside farmers, farmers' markets and urban farms. In addition to her community-level food education, Beth is committed to supporting professional development and growth in the field. She takes great care and pride in mentoring both her teams and the students in her graduate and undergraduate nutrition courses at Lehman College. Before joining The Sylvia Center, she led nutrition education and food access programs at the NYC Health Department and Children’s Aid, and she supported farmers' markets at Harvest Home Farmers' Market and as a board member of the Farmers Market Federation of NY. In her personal time, Beth loves being outdoors with her family, getting her hands in the soil, going for hikes, bike rides and jogs, and enjoying all the flavors of New York.
